I hate a lot about the times we live in. This economy situation. I have heard that the recession ended last year. That is what I heard but not what I see. I work in an office complex where the entire complex belongs to one company except for our office. We get a rather big bunch of folks from that company. They have had a series of layoffs over the last few years. And disposed of several of my regular clients. September and October they did it again. I just HATE this. What it did to my business is not good. What it did to these good people's lives is not good either. Horrible, in fact.
At this time my massage business is going to be slow. If you live in the Dallas area and need a massage therapist that believes in putting the therapy back in massage then get in touch. I need some stressed out, hurting people.
But worse than this was a phone call we got a little over two weeks back. My brother had been in a wreck...he was on his motorcycle. An oncoming van turned left and did it right in front of him. He hit the van and went airborne landing on the pavement some distance away. Thankfully, he always wore his protective riding gear. His body will need lots of work from the trauma it received. But the only broke body parts are his right foot and his left hand. Amazing! But his body had a huge jolt of the impact with the van and the road and he is in some huge misery. I sent my mix of Comfrey, St Johns Wort, Calendula, and Lavender blossoms and some draw string bags so he could make boo boo bags for his foot. Which was the only place that we could get to as he had a removable boot for his foot. It was really something to see how fast his foot healed. He is still using this poultice and the Dr. was really happy with the progress of the foot.
One HUGE bright spot is the Nature's Sunshine business is doing well. October is the last month to earn the trip to convention and we have earned enough for the two of us and one more to go. That is a trip to Cancun in March. WOOO HOOO!!! I am ready right now. But I can still use more business so if anybody would like to order from my website- PLEASE -help yourself. Let me know if you need help. We need this side of the business to flourish while the other is stumbling.
Nature's Sunshine came out with a new line of cleaning products this month. Plant based, nothing bad in them, cleaning products. I am excited about them. My poodle has had seizures all of her life. It took me several years to figure out it was the flea products causing some of this. Then I realized cleaning products could bring them on too. She made me use "green" cleaning products for quite some time now. It has actually been several years since her last event.
