Boo Boo Wraps and boo boo bags

When I was a whole lot younger I went skiing...one time. Well, actually, I say two times. My first and last time and they were both in the same trip. Fell in the snow, at the lift, and the end result was a spiral fracture of the tibula/fibula. This even gave me many hours, weeks, months to devote to my learning herbs. Because I could sure not do anything else. I really do not know how I would have survived without the herbs.

Do not get me wrong because I did all of the doctor stuff as well as natural. The cast, the pain pills, the swelling under the cast, the itching under the cast. The claustrophobia that developed from the cast. Ahh, I remember it well. It was 1985 and it was just yesterday. I was told by my doctor that it would be 5 months to heal this break and get out of the cast. It took 3. And that little fact was totally thanks to my herbal treatment of myself.

The greatest herbal help there is for this kind of injury is Comfrey. And I applied it to myself every way I could. Today I am telling about one way to help with an injury. Say an ankle or a knee or arm or wrist. You get a package of comfrey in bulk and you heat it in water. For 20 minutes or so. Rather like cooking other greens. Then you take strips of cotton cloth and soak in the water and wrap the injured site. Then wrap with plastic wrap and top that with an ace bandage or one of those braces for an ankle, knee, wrist or whatever.

I also buy little empty tea bags and fill them with comfrey and a few other herbs and then iron the open side of the bag closed. When I hit my thumb with the hammer, the horse steps on my foot, or I get hit in the cheek by a tree branch. I just take one of these out of the fridge and run under hot water and put on the spot. It is just amazing how it stops the bruising and it will not even get sore. The reason you run it under hot water is that it takes heat to activate the healing ingredients.

Yes, I sell all of the products for you to make this up for yourself. Or you can scout it out and make your own.

I call these Boo Boo Bags and Boo Boo Wraps but they are really herbal poultices.

These are not listed on my website or links you will have to get in touch with me direct.
When I broke my leg I also learned that one of my new best herbal friends was a combination called HVP. When I took that I did not have the discomfort from the cast. No itchy, crawling feeling with it. I am so sure I would not have survived mentally without the HVP. And it worked so well. It is available on my Natures' Sunshine website.

Until next time...just be careful
